A very, very long time. It takes forever to get the cows to come back to the barn because they are slow and just do what they want to. They don't run fast like horses. So, when someone says, "I will talk about it until the cows come home" means they are not going to shut up.

while cows "bypass away abode" they bypass out into the paddock to graze. They stay out for a looonnnggg time, oftentimes all day, and are available returned for take care of (esp in a ecu wintry climate) or to be milked. So we are enormously plenty speaking relating to the "entire day" being their absence. Now while human beings say they'd talk until the cows come abode they actually recommend "continually" or "until you could give up me", even if technically have been speaking approximately 10-12 hours -- which will look as though continually if somebody won't close up. T

When the farmer goes to sleep the cows go out and party cuz they just sit around all day. Then before the farmer wakes up... they come home, not to be caught. Cuz the farmer has a little bit of a temper and... well I won't go there.

cows left to pasture won't come home unless there guided so "until the cows come home" pretty much means not anytime soon.
