cant find out who supplies your gas, tried the special number, landord and prievous tenant, they all agree who is my supplier apart from the supplier themselves who have repeatedly said that they dont. I cant set up an account as a cannont get a current supply number from my current supplier . HELP

I have heard of such a thing happening before.. it went on for years and the guy never got a bill. It may be that you have slipped through the net. Keep a catalogue of all the attempts you have made to contact the supplier to open an account and all that, just in case you get a whopping bill in the future. The suppliers really should be more aware! You wouldn't think this kind of thing would happen in this day and age. In any case, don't worry about it, as long as you are getting gas into your home.

If you are not sure who is currently supplying gas and/or electricity to your property, you should:
* review any recent bills you may have paid
* contact the Meter Number Helpline and they will tell you who your current gas supplier is
* ask your landlord or letting agency, or contact your regional electricity supplier. You can obtain their phone number from directory enquiries

you need to call transco[UK only]they have a database,don't know the number,sorry but will be in phone book.
