Just wondering. I supposedly ovulated on the 23rd of December and I have been having a lot of unprotected sex. 2 weeks later, my period was due, but there wasn't nothing but some brown spotting. I took a test but it was negative. If I conceived, I concieved about 3 weeks ago yet am still showing negative on a test.

I tested on Friday. Should I try again? Is it possible to still show negative on a test if you're 20 dpo?

I tested negative until I was 8 weeks along with my first pregnancy. What you do is wait like 3 weeks and make an appointment to see a gynecologist. Then tell them that you want a blood test done to determine pregnancy. The blood test is more accurate then the urine test and you are more than likely going to be able to know. If you are pregnant congrats!

I would suggest going to see your Dr as soon as possible. I have been trying to conceive for 6 months now and I started my last period on the 6th October. Yep.. that means that I am now 10 1/2 weeks late and I still have no sign of my period.

I am very lethargic, my breasts are so sore that I can't sleep on my front and I frequently get the feeling that my tummy is bruised. I have done about 5 tests and they are all negative, but I have only just been to see the doctor. They are now running bloos tests to check if I'm pregnant, but also to check all of my hormones.. at the end of the day, if I'm not pregnant, then something is stopping me from ovulating.

I wish now that I hadn't left it so long before going to the doctors, but I put it off because so much other stuff has been going on.

Good luck getting the result that you want :O)

Yes, you could very well be pregnant. Wait one week from the day you last tested, and test again. If it's still negative, wait until your period would be due next (based on when you spotted). If your period doesn't start, take another test. If it's still negative, you may want to see your doctor.

Anything is possible...and I mean anything. Are you taking hte preg test with your first morning urine? what other symptoms are you having?
Many women can experience symptoms of being pregnant but are not actually pregnant. You may have other medical issues that need addressed. My suggestion to you would to see your doctor...there could be something a little serious going on there that you may need addressed.

Baby, you should make an appointment with a doctor as soon as possible and stop going off of your own assumptions! Plus there's a chance something else could be seriously going inside of you.

Hello =)

Yes, it's possible......

False negatives are much more common than false positives.....

Wait a few more weeks, and see what happens, though. You may need to have a blood-draw test to determine for sure. Perhaps wait another period cycle, though......

Namaste,

--Tom

The brown spotting can be a period, but why don't you cut your worries short and have a HCG blood test. it i s as accurate as it gets.
