I'd noticed this and there is plenty around, Especially with it being an exam period. I get the feeling some of them may constitute cheating, which is serious if you get caught.

And don't forget to try browsing the internet for the answers to simple questions first, it'd be much quicker.

It's certainly part of it. I'd suggest there are two main categories:

- Don't want to do their homework themselves, post questions here hoping that they'll pick up a full solution for minimal effort
- Genuinely don't understand the course or text and are hoping for fuller explanations that might make more sense to them.

From several years' experience as a tutor I know for a fact that there are a lot of kids out there who struggle with particular concepts, and simply can't understand they way it has been explained to them. I'd often have to try many different explanations to find one they could relate to and really grasp. (And quite often we couldn't find any that they were really comfortable with. Whether that was my fault or theirs I won't speculate.) These kids are likely to post question after question hoping desperately that they will get an explanation they can understand...
