1) remember that there is a negative one (-1) in front of the x in the 1st equation
Written over: -1x+y=2 2x+y=10
2)for the 1st equation subtract -1x from both sides of the equation
(before and after the equal sign)
Written: -1x+y=10
minus> -
-1x - -1x

u get y= 10- -1x -OR- ----> Y=1X+10
DO THAT 4 THE OTHER EQUATION

On the first, subtract x from both sides y = -x + 2 On the other, add x to both sides then divide by 2 (multiply by 1/2) 2y = x + 10 y = 1/2 x + 5

please be reminded than the slope intercept form is y=mx+b

where M is the slope and B is the y-intercept (0,y)

equation 1)

-X+Y=-2
Y=X-2

slope or m=1/1 or 1
and Y-intercept is -2 or (0,-2)

equation 2)

2X+Y=10
Y=-2X+10

slope or m = -2/1
and Y-intercept is 10 or (0,10)
