Actually, i`ve done all 3. I guess it depends on the situation, and the person who is asking ! If its a dangerous area & you`re w/ your kid ..c.) Most of the time I try to help out if I can. Once I chased a homeless guy around for 10 min.s w/ a Dell Taco ! He was begging for a taco in the drive-thru, complaining that nobody cared. So I said I`d get him one, so relax ! after getting that darn taco, just on principal ..yes, I chased him 4 blocks yelling "heres your taco"; he must have thought a lunatic was after him cuz he kept running from me ! Not to be proved wrong that we were all selfish[ in drive-thru line ] Boy, I caught him, gave him his taco ,he was freaked out but ate it ! I dont reccomend this action to any of you ! Thats me ; always on an adventure !

I'd probably take them to McDonald's and sit and talk with them. Usually homeless people have interesting stories, and it makes them feel good to have someone listen. But I would be careful about giving them cash straight out, because if they have a drug addiction, it may be too much of a temptation to spend it on that instead of food.

I don't believe it's up to me to decide what they're going to do with the money. How dare I walk so proudly that I think every bum on the street is a worthless drunk? How smug is that? Additionally, if someone DID take my money and go buy a bottle of whiskey with it, I would hope that they received my generosity in love and saw Christ in me, regardless of how they spent the cash.

B. I wouldn't just want to give them money because i wouldn't want them to use it to by alcohol or drugs. If I had money on me I would go get them something.

but if they seem strung out on something or crazy i'll just walk by and avoid them. (no sense asking for trouble)

d.) tell them i'm poor just like them... i work to make a living and they should too... theres this one guy here where i live he always holds up this sign saying will work for food... But yet you will see him all the time having beer and cigs... if he can afford that then he can afford food.
