Mu husband works in Missouri and has lived in Illinois the entire year. His employer takes out Illinois state taxes but does not take out any Missouri taxes. How should I file this? Do I need to file Illinois and Missouri state taxes?

It boggles my mind why people are so lazy/stupid that theyd fork over money for someone to "repair" (prepare) their tax return.

To answer your question, Missouri code does not require you to file unless you had Missouri adjusted gross income. So you would only file a return on the Illinois gross income.

Missouri and Illinois have tax reciprocity. This means that you would only file Illinois taxes.

Its not your responsibility. let a tax repairer take care of it.
