That's a tough call to make.Considering what he hopes to accomplish for this country, and all free countries, he has to live with his decisions. So I don't believe that it is machismo or oil that drives him. It didn't drive our past presidents who made the unenviable decision to go to war. There is a greater good that he is trying to achieve. I served in the U.S.M.C. more than a decade ago, and you understand that when you enlist as infantry, you have a desire to go to war and be in the battle. I sympathize with those who have family members in the war, but the Pres. has advisors and the Def. Dept. and the Cabinet, apart from the N.S.A., the C.I.A., and foreign gov't intelligence to deliberate. History will tell whether this was the right course of action, but for the time being, I think that we need to back his decisions and give his plan a chance. "We" as a country elected him. And if folks do not, and his vision for democracy in the middle east succeeds, then let them be the traitors who wouldn't back the U.S.A.

Get him into war now then when he get's a taste of the real world he should bring all the troops out. He needs to know all the pain and anguish he is causing everybody by keeping the troops there for loner then they need to be.

I am personally in favour of the leaders of countries actually leading troops into battle, like the War leaders of Old. I would be willing to bet that there would be far fewer wars, if the politicians themselves had to actually go over and fight.

Wouldn't that be nice to see. Bush knows he'll never get in the midst of a battle, he does his battles with his mouth. If this poor rich guy were to endure atrocities of war he'd be running to Daddy and asking him to save him.
