China has become the biggest polluter in the world. They have absolutely know pollution regulation to follow. Just the way that the pollution travels through the atmosphere the U.S. gets most of China pollution. Now China is becoming an Industrialized nation and is now burning much more fossil fuel than it did even just a few years ago. I believe that Americans shopping at Wal-Mart buying cheap a s s Chinese goods are causing more environmental problem then any of the S.U.V's on the market today. Shopping at Wal-Mart or any other "total Chinese imported goods store" is also keeping gas prices high. 1.2 billion Chinese people are now becoming automobile owners. Should America's shopping at Wal-mart be stopped or at least slowed down?

Stopping your shopping at Wal-mart can be done.

I have not spent NOT ONE PENNY at Wal-mart in over 10 years. I believe that if we American can buy more of our American products it will be way better for this nation. Do we really need to buy a DVD player for $29.99 and put one in every room. It is better to buy fewer things and have nice quality things, than buy cheap hundreds of crappy Chinese things.

Never have, never will. My money is better spent at mom&pop stores.

Close the border to capitalism.

To shop or not to shop at Walmart is a conundrum without answer. Many that shop at Walmart are low income families that simply can't afford to shop at the pricier stores. Their low income status may be attributed to better paying jobs being outsourced to countries like China. China then manufactures the goods that had formerly been produced in this country, resulting in job losses here. No jobs, no money. That cycle sets up the need for less expensive goods here, which the Chinese can supply because of what amounts to nearly slave labor wages there. Add to the problem what you've said and that just compounds the conundrum. What do we do?

go to any store and more likely then not you have a product of China. It's not only Wal-Mart. The problem is farming out American jobs to other countries.

I haven't shopped at Wal-Mart in over three years now. I just have no desire to shop there anymore. I don't much care if other people want to shop there or not. It's just my personal preference to go to other places. Contrary to popular belief - Wal-Mart does not have everything, and some of its stuff isn't as good as what you can get elsewhere.

Yes, I shop at Wal-Mart. There are several other stores just like it...Target, Costco, etc. If I stopped shopping at Wal-Mart, I'd have to drive 20 miles one way to the nearest alternative, Target, and guess what, they'd have the exact same stuff on the shelves from China.

You haven't tried the crappy Chinese things as you call them or you would change your mind.

And then maybe you should tell to the Walmart board to stop opening stores in China.

It is true that China is polluting but it is necessary for its development. But it is also concerned that mesures have to be taken to reduce pollution.

And who was the biggest polluter before China ? I think the US was and where saying stop buying our US goods so as not to promote pollution? I don't think so. And whose president refused to sigh the Kyoto protocol to reduce pollution ? I think your presidents did.

So before saying such things on Chinese you should first see what your country has done for pollution and will talk about it later.

I cut back on shopping at WalMart. In fact, I cut back on buying a lot of stuff, including gasoline. I try to buy American made products now and go without the cheap Chinese crapola.

The only thing I buy from Walmart is Food, the Pet fish and the Flowers in the spring. Are they all from China also?

There's practically nowhere else to shop. They're gradually running every other major chain out of the country!
