Ok, my periods have been weird ever since October when I quit the patch quicker than I should have. My husband and I just got married, but want to try for kids soon. Last week, I spotted really light pink for a couple of days, then nothing. I thought my period was going to start and it didn't. I have an 8 year old so it wouldn't be my first child. I've been queasy and exhausted. I chalked it up to getting a cold since my throat has been scratchy for a couple days now, but I am beginning to wonder if it's more than one thing combined. Can you still get pregnant even when your periods aren't regular right now?

It's easy enough to find out-just go but a home pregnancy test. Because I got pregnant under similar circumstances, I know it can happen.

believe it or not some people become extremely fertile for the first couple of days after quiting a horomonal birth control! It's actually been linked to twins.. (not trying to scare you..)

To me it either sounds like you have a virus or are pregnant yes.. since you did have some spotting I would say that it is safe to take a test as the spotting could have been implantation bleeding or it could have been a slight period due to your horomones being out of wack. Yes you can get pregnant before having a regular cycle.. Believe it or not and unfortunatly some women/children have gotten pregnant before ever starting their periods (thus their first ovulation).

However on the other hand.. stress and sicknes can throw your horomones out of wack also! In addition certain medications can delay or postpone your period..

Honestly though.. If I were you I'd wait until the morning and take a test... Just to put your mind at ease.. (btw the cheap tests are just as good as the other and sometimes better, trust me)

Good Luck

My mum never used to have periods at all apart from maybe a couple a year. Because of this she was 28 weeks pregnant before she even new she was having me, so yes you can totally get pregnant with out regular periods. The first sigh i had to being pregnant with feeling sick and i had not even missed a period yet. Best thing is to take a test and worring about it can cause you not to come on.

Good luck

This could be implantation bleeding. This is when the fertilized egg burrows through the endometrial lining and implants itself in your uterus.

So yes, you could pregnant, regardless of whether you're regular or not.

Please get a pregnancy test. I say this because it sounds like you might be experiencing implantation bleeding. Though, it could also be a side effect of going off the patch.

Good luck. :-)
