I'd stick with the six weeks unless you wer changing them to new but similar studs. If not then the hole may close up when you stop leaving them in regularly. Studs are easier to work wtih during the healing process. If you take them out altogether though before six weeks has passed the hole will likely close.

last time when I got my ears pierced in Mel, the person asked me to buy a solution and apply on the front and back of the ears daily. This is to avoid gems around the 'wound' and get infected. It did help to rapid the recovery period, so I could take off the earrings after 4 weeks.

SUPPOSED to be 6 weeks; but if it heals before then and you don't have any problems with the peircing then you can change it; just make sure you keep something in it though...

You know, everyone SAYS 6 weeks, but you can safely change them after 3 weeks! I did! I had no problems! Go for it babe!Just make sure you're still using a good gold or silver earring.

I was also in a rush. I wanted to change them soon. So i did after 2 weeks but I got infected. My friend who pierced b4 me said that she waited for almost 4 months. No wonder she DIDN'T get infected like me...
So i suggest u wait for min 1 month. The longer the better. Or else u'll develop infections like me!! :'(
