Yes. But if you are asking if it can always stay that way, no. Someone will eventually want the relationship to be more.

That is just a silly question......of course there can be true friendship between a man and a woman. I have several women that I consider to be very close friends of mine, and they feel the same towards me. We all have a blast when we get together for an evening. Why do you ask? Do you think that it isn't possible? You are missing out on great friendships if that is the case.

Anything is possible, but if you are the one asking then it's obvious you don't think so. Which means you are attracted to each other or he did something that made you feel you guys relationship was more than friends. So if in the beginning it was only a friendship then yes you can be true friends otherwise No! Give us more details sounds interesting.

I think you can have a true friendship with anyone especially a man as long as you both are honest and respectful but it appears that there is something in the water or something because it doesn't take long before the two are dealing with sexual tension or jealousy. This is where self respect and mutual respect comes in to play.

yes there is...i mean a real friendship cannot only be found on 2 different genders...but if you were to ask me, i prefer male-female friendship.... i am basing my answer from my own experience, its better to have a male best friend coz i do believe they have more understanding, no envy, no jealousy that could suffer a friendship...
my best friend is a guy and we are on our 16 years of friendship...

Yes there can be true friendships. Always understand though that if there is a mutual attraction it has to be out there. You can be friends but be careful of jealiously or jaded advice.

yes there can! I had a best GUY friend in high school, all 4 years. He had a girl friend already and we were the best of friends. NO he was not gay either. We talked about everything, called each other at all hours of the day and went everywhere together.

To me, yes. I'm a male and i have a lot of wonderful girls as my best friend :)
Most are married, attached. And we still treasure our friendship. I feels that it is hard to develop love/sparks with someone you regards as best friend.
