Total crap! The only reason "Worlds In Collision" got any sort of publicity was that it was originaly published by Macmillan. A number of reputable scientists were also published by Macmillan and they didn't want to be connected to it in any way. Rather than just keep quiet and let the book fade into richly deserved oblivion, they threatened a boycott and gave the book a high profile.

His specific ideas are wrong.
But it's interesting that, since his time, the scientific ideas about how violent the solar system has been have changed in his direction. For one example, the Moon was thought then to have formed peacefully with the Earth, now the main theory is that it was blasted out of the Earth by a collision.

Check out the old Carl Sagan book called "Broca's Brain" where he meticulously debunks the claims made by Velikovski. Very entertaining.
