I don't think the audiences participated in the plays, How much it cost was depending on what class of socity you were from get a hold of a shakespearen theatre map. The sets where wooden and on wheels or lot of man power to lift them across. The costumes were made, props where from that era so they where easy to get hold of.

I think the groundlings paid a penny to watch plays.

The audiences participated by clapping, crying, laughing or just watching and enjoying the play because actors do better when people support them.

I don't really know about the sets and costumes.

Women weren't allowed to be in plays. They usually did the backstage sewing and mending of costumes.

Young male actors acted out the female roles until their voices changed.

Romeo and Juliet was probably written around 1594 - 1595

The setting of Romeo and Juliet was 13th and 14th century Italy mainly the cities Verona and Mantua.

If you want to see a good representation of theatre in Shakespeare's day, watch Laurence Olivier's Henry V from 1943 and the more recent Shakespeare in Love.
