How much did "groundlings" pay to get into a play? - They paid a penny to get into a play - which would of been the better of a day's wages.

How did the audiences participate in a play? - If the audience didn't like an actor they could pelt him with oranges, boo, hiss or anything. But they were ready to applaud when they approved.

How were the sets different from the costumes and props? - The costumes helped the visual effects of the play and the sets gave it a realistic setting or venue.

What were women's roles in the plays? & What roles did the young male actors play? - In Shakespeare's time, many women did not act, as acting was considered a male profession. The women roles were played by young men before they hit puberty and their voices broke.
