If the doctor is told ahead of time not to tell the husband, he or she won't tell. If the doctor does tell, then he was either being very rude and it's time to find a new doctor, or he accidentaly forgot/let it slip.
When you're having an ultrasound, the technician will say 'Do you want to know the sex?' and that's the time to send hubby out of the room, or just say no and let it be a surprise for both of you.

The doctor will respect your wishes and tell you but not your husband, the hard part will be after you find out to keep the babies stuff hidden that you buy and or recieve that is not unisex so it wont give it away completely. Just if you tell family member make shure they understand that your husband doesnt want to know, so they dont slip, or you can save it as a surprise for every one and not tell any one and schedule your shower after you have the little one. that one would prolly be your best bet. Good luck

The doctor wont tell the husband if he doesn't want to know. I didn't want to know the sex of my baby when I was pregnant but my husband did. So during the whole pregnancy he knew what we were having and I didn't.

Just get them to write it on a piece of paper and give it to you. You read it then throw it in the bin. Then everyones happy!!! You have every right to know if you want to, It's your baby!!! My husband didn't but I did. I found out and then the suspense got too much for him and he nagged me for ages to tell him. I did in the end, and he was sooooooo excited.

The doc isnt in the room when you have the u/s just the tech and honestly they wont do another u/s after that one so no one would ever no you knew the sex but you and the u/s tech. So my point is no one would bring it up and if they did say oh no i didnt learn the sex you must be confusing me with someone else. Good luck!

I wished my husband didnt find out every time he has a few beers he manages to let it slip.
I thought of calling before hand and telling them i wanted to know but that i didnt want him to know - in retrospect i should have.
