Hypothetically speaking what if you were given the chance to walk in your presidents shoes while he took a break, from his duties.... i hear some of you complaining that he is not fulfilling the requirements as a president, but what would you do that would really make a difference? or make things any better?

I know there are things that I would like change in but I know I personally could not do them so therefore I don't condemn the man at all. He's doing a way better job then I am.

I would arrange a meeting with the leaders in the middle east and come with alternatives to war.War has always been the last resort not the first. I would arrange a meeting with the leaders of Germany, England, and Canada to implement socialized medicine since their systems work. I would implement mandatory factory shut downs for those that break the EPA laws and give tax incentives for those that don't. I could go on and on. Things will improve. Have a nice year for it will end very well.

first off, I'd set about finding a way to put the nation of Iraq back into a state of semi-balance, then haul my troops out of there ASAP. I would offer a public apology on behalf of the nation, and to the nation, for the strife I've caused. I would find ways to come down hard on the wealthy class and make less loop holes for them to slip through on taxes and other things, so as to build a stronger middle class. I would fix the medical insurance area, because that is falling to pieces right now. And I would do my best to make peace with other nations and avoid wars. I would do my best to behave the way a president should, with humility and well-thought-out actions, instead of arrogance and uncaring actions. I would not start the draft, like he is thinking of doing, because I view human lives as more than toys. I view people as just that, people, who have lives, families, and friends, who care about them and who they care for. Bush doesn't get any of that, whatsoever. And while Clinton screwed an intern, Bush screwed the nation.

A lot of people have the answers, until they get elected. Reality sets in that people in Washington speak well of the dead (Gerald Ford, for example) and is a living h___ on the living. Of course, Dead presidents don't have to put up with Rosie O'Donnell's rants about Donald Trump (lucky them). Nothing against Rosie, just we're tired of the same schtick.

I would not do anything until I (and my advisers) understood what the heck was going on, and what the interests of my people were. Apparently reflection and consultation was a lesson lost on Bush Junior. Doesn't sound exciting, but I really don't think what the world needs are more rash decisions from another inexperienced and pretentious US President.

Nope. Neither I, nor most of the other people who post answers, have the training for or understanding of foreign policy to make significant forward progress.

I think I'd probably do just the same as the president is doing, since he is puppetted around by his cabinet on a lot of issues.

I'd aim the biggest atomic bomb possible at Iraq, push the little red button and run like the clappers. If you wipe out the people they cant come back and bite you in the bum. Worked with Japan didnt it?
