marketing is a vast field wherein we have direct marketing,indirect marketing (etc).i wish to gain some knowledge on direct marketing.

Direct marketing means personalized not broadcast. Examples could be mail, flyers, email, etc. They are intended to communicate one on one.
Direct marketing works best when you know your target audience is, then have a great list with that target on it, then a great offer. Creative is important - but if you don't have the first 3, you are throwing money away.

direct marketing : You appoint the agent, and he/she will sell the goods directly to the end user. Direct response marketing : You will contact the end user through different means i.e. email, brochures, announcement etc Those interested and respond, you will contact them.
