my friend is really self-centered...?

she acts as if she is better then everyone else. she thinks that she is smarter and prettier than everyone else including her friends. she is extremely rude to everyone. i didnt know how much more i could take so i came up with an idea about changing her kinda like in the movie grease with sandy. she sort of agreed. now i need some ideas on what to do to get her to change her attitude. help!!! i might end up slapping her soon... or worse!!!

just tell her the truth and have alot of examples on how she was self centered. but most people like that have a hard time see that. good luck
