definitly go for the 7300gt! they are getting cheaper in price everyday now. the difference in performance between the two is an abyss. geforce 7 series definitly casts out the 6series

i thought geforce fx was the 5000 series. if you have unlimited money, get the 7300gt, of course. but if youre strapped, then 6600gt is still good. depending on how graphic intensive your games are, you would probably get a few drops in frame rate on the 6600gt, but it shouldn't be all that noticeable, at least not enough to make you give up.

Don't get either. Get an $88 7600GS, which is twice as fast as either of those cards. BTW, the 6600GT and the 7300GT are rough equivalents. One will be slightly faster in some things, the other will be slightly faster at other games: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/372/8 And a 7600GS is more than twice as fast as either.

I heard bad things about FX.
7600 is a good card
