My truck is leaking antifreeze, but I never see the antifreeze leaking under the truck. Also it wont go from the reservoir to the radiator..why? Sometimes it overheats, but not always. I go through a gallon of antifreeze every few days. What could be wrong? Now the heater doesnt work all the time, seems to stop after 30 min of driving. No white smoke from muffler? Oil seems fine..not milky.

If its using antifreeze, and you see no leaks, its not evaporating, it has to be burning.
Are the radiator hoses warm or cold after driving? do they suck in?
If they are cold, you have an obstruction, or air in your coolant system.

The first thing you should do, if flush the coolant system, and replace the thermometer.

Next, ford rangers have nortoriously crappy factory head gaskets, get it replaced.

Unless you have a cracked head, this should solve the problem.
You can do this all yourself for probably $300, and a weekend, or take it in and spend $800 plus and a week.

Go have a pressure test done they will build up the pressure and i bet you will find or see a pin hole leak some where. I have found them in some weird places if the car is running good probobley you have not blown a head gasket but you gotta find the leak cause one day it could over heat to the extent of blowing it or other crazy things could happen

You asked about head work on another question. Why don't you get a check of your cooling system for a head leak. It can be done with a gas detecting system that detects exhaust gas in the cooling system. If that is not the problem, get the cooling system pressurized to find the leak.

The damn issues might want to leak on the top gasket to the exterior...look heavily, it is demanding to be certain.. solid success....EDIT I basically pronounced that you already revealed a question about replacing the top gasket.....Hmmmm i imagine you replied your question.!

If this is related to your head gasket question, get a rebuilt engine, because you will undoubtedly over heated the engine and there is some real damage there
