First of all with the one guys statement of (MACS dont get Virus' is incorrect) You really need to know what you are going to use it for. If its for simple things I.E word processing internet browsing and what not, PC's are cheaper and are just fine. If your going or multimedia, developing or what not, go Mac. Macs are great computers, but cost a pretty dime. PC's yes are more generally volunerable than a MAC but are more cost effective and have a lot better program selection than MAC (though apple is working on this).

If you know how to use a PC properly (having an anti-virus program and keeping it up to date, not downloading useless/shady programs, using firefox instead of internet explorer) get a PC. If you like to click on everything you see, have no idea what firefox or a firewall is, and can pay a premium for user friendliness, by all means get a mac.

Ok ok ok if your planning to buy a laptop go with the Mac!! it hardly gets viruses and will last alot longer than a pc. plus a pc gets a whole mess of viruses by people who create them. So stick with the Mac

Depends on what you are going to use it for mostly.!

MAC is more geared towards graphic intensive applications ( Music, arts, etc) while there are lot more applications available for a PC.
