Sweetie, I have had this experience. For me, I can definitely say it stems from the fact that I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the outline of a man in my window when I was 5 years old. We lived on the second floor of an apartment at the time, and this man put a ladder up to my bedroom window and was trying to get into my room. It scared the hell out of me.
Something may have happened (that you don't even remember) to make you feel this way. And once a thought gets ingrained in our brain, the more we think about it~ the more it gets hard wired even more into our thoughts.
I struggle with this, and you may too for life. The trick is to get control of our thoughts, to think more positive happy things. It is hard, but it works. Ask your counselor to help you with learning how to control your thoughts. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best :-)

Do you imagine or dream it. To imagine it in your awake time is disturbing. For what reason are you thinking this?
You may have had an incident with death when you were eight years old, like a relative dying or something. It may have put fear in you about dying.
I suggest you be up front with your therapist if you wish their help. I can't give you advice on this as I'm not qualified and it involves a lot of research.
I encourage you to go to any other doctor that can help you with this.

One possible suggestion is that your fear of violence from the world is really your own aggression toward the world that you cannot contain. It is called a projection- you project your aggression on others in an attempt to see how they manage it- so you view others as aggressive toward you, when they are not necessarily so. Try to talk about your own feelings of aggression towards others in therapy.

Who is the person? Do you know him/her?
Could be that you lack attention, even if you're not aware of this need to be noticed in yourself. Do you just imagine for yourself or do the images pop up to you?
Live and love life honey, it's the only one we know for sure that we have.

it is called paranoia. if they wanted to kill you, they'd alredy did that.
unless you feel it is a problem that actively worsenes you life, I suggest to hide it. Once the shrinks are upon you, it is kinda difficult to get rid of them, or the stigma that comes with mental conditions.
