For me, there are a lot of things that does make people happy but to what degree? Like for me, seeing someone smile or making someone's day makes me happy because we are still in the land of the living. People that are rich are happy because they don't have to worry about bills or struggle to get by paycheck to paycheck like most of this country is doing right now. People that love to see other people suffer are just sick individuals. Happiness is a state of mind and also an emotion. Whatever the warm feeling you get that puts a smile on your face is happiness.

Happiness is aprecitating even the simple things. Being happy with yourself. Yes some people do THINK they are happy when they have money or a good job, but money comes and goes and so do jobs!
Marriage or a relationship can bring happiness especially when one wants the other the way they are.
So for me hapiness is within yourself and finding others that will like you for you!
Money and jobs will never give you that.

Money and success is temporary happiness. Once it is achieved, the you will seek other means of "happiness". Love, either from a friend or lover or family is where true happiness can be gained and last much longer and feel more real than material things or ideas.

It's an illusion worshipped by fools and chased by idiots. It can however only be found by those not looking, and those not driven. Merely live your life as best you can and strive to be the best YOU you can be (not like Jesus, Buddha, Muhammid, or whatever). Only you know the measure of your own personal yardstick with which to measure yourself. Only when you stop chasing happiness, trying to live in the shadow of idols, and keeping up with the Joneses will you find happiness. Your happiness may be someone elses agony...

happiness is a choice...possessions, money, people cannot make us happy, they are fleeting things that change with time and when they are gone there we sit..alone..wondering where did our happiness go....just as you woke up this morning and chose to put your feet on the floor and face another day you can chose to be happy or sad, glad or mad...just chose happiness no matter what life gives you or takes from you and then when you sit alone wondering you can smile knowing that within your heart you have something no one can take from you...you chose to be happy..no marriage or money or fame or fortune can make you happy untill your happy without it...take care and God bless you with happiness!

Happiness is within oneself. It's a state of mind. And the key to true happiness is to let go and forgive. Anyone can be happy if they just choose to be.
