Hi. My cycle is 28 days. My period was due January 7th (Day 1 of the cycle). On that day, nothing occurred, but later on that night, I experienced brownish spotting when I went to the bathroom, but nothing else. Day 2 and 3 was virtually the same, nothing but a bit of brownish discharge and spotting. Not even enough to wear a pad, let alone a panty liner. On the night of Day 3 I had sex, afterwards I urinated and there was a tiny bit of red blood instead of brown, but even that tapered off within 2 hours. It wasn't even enough to consider it a 'light' period. Now is day 4, and it's stopped completely. It's like I barely even had a period at all. I ALWAYS have heavy periods so it was shocking that by day 2 & 3, there was hardly anything but a bit of brownish fluid on the toilet paper! And then today, which was Day 4, there was nothing at all! It stopped! My periods last a full 7 days and it's always heavy! On days 5 and 6, also nothing, at all. It had completely stopped. Day 6 I took a pregnancy test and it said negative. But, I've been having headaches and today (day 9 of my cycle) I had some pretty bad cramps in my lower abdominal & pubic region.

Is it possible that I am pregnant and tested too early? Is it possible that I experienced implantation bleeding on day one when my period was to start, or it was just an extremely light period? My sister experienced this very same thing (implantation bleeding that she mistook for a really light period) and she was actually pregnant.

Or am I just overreacting, and am probably not pregnant?

I would wait and see if you have a normal period when your next cycle comes around. If not, I would test again. It is possible that it could've been implantation bleeding, or there could be other factors that caused you to have an extremely light period. If you still get a negative test, I would see your doctor.

It is possible that you might be pregnant, but the fact that your period had stoped only after 2 days is not a clear sign of pregnancy. It could be because male hormones in your organism can affect that, or it could also be because of stress (worrying about being pregnant maybe). The only thing you can do is take a pregnancy test to be sure, but taking the test too soon after the possible conception date can give you a false negative result. It might not detect the HCG hormone, because its levels are still low in your organism.

if you were suppose to start on the 7th then it should have tested positive then... you can always try a new and different test... but the change might be in the amount of food or type you have eaten... or maybe you are a little anemic this month and didnt produce that much...

and there are those 2 days before your period that your fertile.. now you might br preg from them and just dont have enough hormones in your system to account for it yet

you should go to the health department or call your doctor and get a referall to a ob gyn . In case that wasnt your period it could be something else wrong. Let them know every thing so they can treat you properly. dont leave any thing out. They might schedule a blood test and a prego test, and prolly do a pap. but its better to know sooner than later. so in case you are they can put you on the neccesary vitamins you need, and what not. and if your not they can get down to the bottom of it. dont fret tho you will be fine. but its better to get checked out by a doctor than just going by guess work. incase it happens to be something serious.

I would wait another week and test again. Are you peeing lots more often than normal? That's one of the first ways that I knew I was pregnant. I never had cramps or headaches during the first month either.

I would wait till Feb 7th to retest.

Relax hun. There is allways a chance with or without protection to get pregnant. But you seem to be ahead of the game knowing your body.

Did you have unprotected sex prior to Jan 7th? If so, I would wait for another few days and test again or go to doctor for blood test.

There is a good website that calculates it with math. Try here...
http://thepregnancytest.com

In my opinion it's better than most other calculators because it takes into account symptoms, stress, and more.
