not knowing the status of ownership of truck some states have a second name on title that has the power of attorney on the truck.
once the owner has passed.it may be probated as property (meaning it will be given to an heir of the deceased)
so be careful.

when my dad passed away my mother (as the surviving spouse) signed the car over to my niece. check with the dmv in your state as this probably varies from state to state. also check with the dmv in the state where the truck came from.you should be able to do this online.
