"the most defining part of the history of human race" an interesting idea, shared by people since the beginning of history. The Hellenic greeks thought the Golden Age was the most important, Romans thought the expansion of the Roman empire was the most important, same goes for the Renaissance, the industrial revolution, the World Wars, etc. The only reason this time period seems so important is because it's the one we are living in. The fact is, there has alwasy been a large disparity between the rich and the poor, people have always killed each other, and people have always cared about their things. Just like their have always been generous people, always been people who cherish life, and always people who care for others and living a good life more than they care for their things. All that changes in the world is who is rich/poor, and which cultures are exhibiting more or less morals vs. materialism. Remember that many centuries ago the Mongols we a ruthless, conquering peoples, with an empire larger than Rome ever got and a fortune beyond imagination, now if you go to Mongolia, you won't find a more peaceful, simple, and docile country in the world. According to the Baha'i perspective, humanity is in a period of transition between the "Old World Order" and the "New World Order". This transition is characterized by a disintegration of empires, institutions, monarchies and other remnants of the old order and the creation of new, spiritual institutions which will serve as the basis of the New World Order. This is a period of great suffering and convulsion, around the world and has been going on since the mid-19th century.
The Baha'i Faith teaches that there are two stages which we are approaching in our collective societal evolution: the Lesser Peace and the Greater Peace. The Lesser Peace is the physical unification of the world in one world federal government. This will be the first step and will result in the end of poverty, inequality, terrorism, etc. It is unknown when this stage will come about, but it is clearly in the making. It could be 50 years, it could be 100 years, or maybe even several centuries from now. Who knows?
The Greater Peace is the spiritual unification of humankind in "one universal Cause, one common Faith." This will probably take several more centuries to achieve, but it is too early to estimate. This is the Golden Era promised in every religious scripture of the past, when the whole of humankind act as brothers and sisters and universal peace is permanently established.

The human race has progressed from a mere monkey like individual to a more thinking, proactive and intelligent being.
i would answer this question as follows
1)normal average being:oh it is the end of the world.humans killing humans.god save us
2)a intellectual:i see a human age where each and every individual will be self dependent, sufficient and the next step
will be to colonise other planets.i see a great future
as u see it depends upon ones perspective.but seeing the way
the things are going the earth will end like mars and when the day the aliens will come they will study how the humans lived ie they will study like we study the extinct creatures

Human race will survive, no chance that it will persih even in case of another World War taking place. As said at many times, the 3rd WWW will be fought for water and thats true. So, it might happen in the coming 100 years, there will be a lot of blood-shedding, millions will be killed, but still human race will survive in many parts of the world.

that's an ordinary one. If the international gets too warm, we've shown that we are able to stay to tell the tale it simply by fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry aspects. If the international gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are able to stand up to ice a while, and that's with none "intense" technologies. If the international gets overpopulated, that's going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i don't think of we would desire to rigidity approximately surviving the subsequent one hundred years. the real question is the thank you to we shop the subsequent one hundred years from transforming into the subsequent darkish Age.

Humans as a species or as individuals are only as good as their common sense is. Common sense works best in times of need, and this moment is closing by fast, when oil gets scarcer and eventually disappears. This will indeed be a time of dire need, and common sense might then flourish again. Now, the cost of that in terms of human life might prove very expensive. But I'm confident we'll survive.
