Get a router (D-Link, NetGear, Linksys are good companies). They will act as hubs and allow internet sharing. Plug the cable from the cable modem into the WAN port of the router, and then connect the other ethernet cables from the router to the PCs. For a home network, you're gonna need to make sure the PCs are in the same workgroup (Right click My Computer-->Properties-->Computer Name Tab). For internet sharing, just plug the cables.

Hubs are not good for sharing internet as they are only designed to link computers together and not to share internet.

Go to your local computer store or a retail store and buy a Router which is around $40 and upwards for a good one you would be looking at around $80 plus but a $40 router will do you fine.

Routers are designed to rout both internal and external data on to your network in other words you can still share data between both computers and share the internet with the both of them without any problems :)

you need a Router, not a Hub you can buy a cheap one for under 40 bucks for a wired it can cost upwards of 300 for wireless depending on your distnce from computer to router.
