Well you're not going to get anywhere unless you do your homework. You just have to buckle down and get it done! If you're having trouble, give yourself rewards when you do it right. Buy yourself some of your favorite snacks or candies- something you don't normally indulge yourself with. When you finish all your homework for the night, have a couple. But the most important thing when being a good student is self control. Try not to treat yourself with breaks- you'll never start again once you stop once.

Once you've got that problem under control, there's still the issue of compensation for the grades you have already lost. Try talking to your teachers. Ask them [politely] if there's anything you can do for extra credit. It might be hard, and it might seem like you're being a teacher's pet- but it's better than failing, I can tell you that.

Teachers hate ghetto slang. Start with proper spelling and grammar.

My homework was easy. The questions would be in the order of the book. If I found the answers to question one and question three, I knew question two was somewhere in between. Then those answers would be on the test. I would also do all the extra credit stuff. In college that has helped turn my D's into C's.

Reports are easy. Most teachers want the number of pages. The number of sources should be be above the minimum of sources required and the number of pages. There is usually four paragraphs to a page (that's just the way it comes out). Make a rough outline to hit a key point in each paragraph. You generally want to use an encyclopedia for the key points, because generally that's all it has. Then you take a piece of paper to represent each page in your essay. Skim (don't read) through your material. All you are looking for is juicy quotes. Now about 1/4 of your essay is a good cut off point for quotes (too much and they will complain and too little will require more writing on your part). Now you put your quotes on those sheets in order according to your outline. Include your starting and ending paragraph too. Write your bibliography on a sheet of paper and all the other technical information (like how you are suppose to list your source material for your quotes) you will have to include. So in one or two hours, you have completed over 1/4th of your essay. Usually they give you a lot of time such as a month for a 10 page report, maybe even several months to do it. Just work on one or two pages a day. Use those note sheets for freestyle thinking. Then when you are done, run a spell check and briefly note your sentance structure. Then the next day read it completely to see if you still have problems such as missing words, double words (Such as, "He he went there.") and if it makes sense. Then the next day read it again or have somebody else read it to see if they find more errors. Correct those errors. When I went to high school, those reports were about 1/3 of the total grade, Homework was a third and tests were another third. So if you got a B on the report and a B with your homework, you can still get a C by getting a D on your tests.

Sadly, homework is so freaking boring. However, its probably the best way to improve your grades, depending on your classes' grade system. But it'd be the best way to improve your grades because doing homework is like a guide for studying so in most cases. if you can do the homework, you can probably do the tests. Even if you don't want to do homework, boosting up grades tends to require a lot of work, and personally, i think doing homework daily over time is the way to go rather than cramming and studying on your own right before the test. But that depends on you since everyone has differnt ways of studying.

Well, for starters it would help to learn some basics of grammar (it helps to know the language you're doing your work in). Secondly, just do the homework. Most classes won't let you get good grades without at least doing some work for them.

First it My grades up. And use caps would you?

Doing Homework sucks believe me ( i am in middle school/high)
but maybe doing a reward system for yourself. Finsh 2 classes of homework = 5 minutes of AIM.

Use Tutors, and friends counts as tutors as well.
There is online tutors like www.hotmath.com ( ONLY FOR MATH), and there is some that are real humans like Sylvan.

Hope it help and your grades improve.

Maybe you're just not college material. That's what my sister told me when I was having school problems in my third year of college. That stuck to me, you know? I didn't really finish that course and I ended up dropping out of school. When I turned 29, I decided it was high time I proved her wrong. I went back to school, even became a university scholar, and now I'm graduating in April. You really can't force yourself to study but I know that you are capable of excellence. You just have to believe it yourself. I challenge you!
