how do I place the background??

I'm making a webpage.. and I need to place a background.. how do I do that?? what code should I use.. please also show an example..

in your body tag , add ' background="url" ' without the single quotes. It looks like: Make sure the url of the picture file is located somewhere on the net and you include the file extension (.gif, .jpeg, etc); otherwise when you post the site online, your background would not appear. you could technically also use javascript and css to add the background image, but that's more complicated.
