To be appreciated---loved---make them feel proud that they are with them---clean---sexual---BUT MOST OF ALL a partner that will work thru anything and communicate at all times. This man will be the luckiest man in the world and will NEVER leave you. It's not about sex (it really helps) it's so much more than that.

honesty. The kind that involves more than just telling the truth, but telling the whole truth, promptly.
An unwillingness to justify just about any kind of manipulation and subterfuge because of percieved (but never voiced nor detailed) malfeasance on the male's part.
A willingness to accept that a male's opinion on how to raise their children carries just as much weight as hers, and not reacting to any interjection of same as a vicious attack on her mothering skills.
To be able, at least once in a while, to admit she was wrong - really wrong - about something, no matter how much her so called friends she's on the phone with almost constantly tell her that she wasn't.
Be willing to discuss what's bugging her about her relationship with her mate/husband FIRST, not washing it through her mom, her so-called friends and online support groups first.
Not go into a releationship EXPECTING to be a victim, then doing whatever she has to to validate that preformed conclusion.
Demand no more emotional and intellectual maturity of her mate than she does of herself.
And sure, provide good sex and good company. But a breakdown in that area is usually the last thing to go. Odd, that.
For a long time even people in troubled relationships will cling to the notion that there isn't anything that can't be fixed by a good f*uck.
In that area we are both incredibly stupid.

From an Older Perspective: Men get to looking at women, in different ways. As we age. Glory is the only thing that matters, when you see that there's a difference. Trust comes into play as you get involved with `em. Security, overcomes that emotion, in the later years. (by 40) How you approach us. Is all determined on what BOTH of you want. Damn Good question!

What I want from my lady (which she is giving me):
Peacefull home, lots of love and care.
when I return home she greet me with a smile.
She make up for me.
In return:
I love her alot, struggle alot to give her a best life.
I never tell her about my business problems.
We are having a wonderfull life, of love, care and happiness, enjoying the company of our two kids. Our lives revolve around each other.

I want an equal. Not a superior or inferior person at my side. Meaning I will be there when she has problems and be a shoulder for her to lean on but she should be there for me as well.

I don't really care anymore. I've been the gamut of "what men want" and ended up shattered and alone.
I'll have my DirecTV and curl up with my cats now, thank you.

They want a loyal, devoted wife who provides all their needs from sex to dinner to clean home and clean clothes. They want her to build him up by bragging on his accomplishments. They want to be able to go and come when they please, have the wife pay the bills and expect a good portion of their salary to buy their guns and toys and still expect you to save for the future. They want to be babied, just like the children. They are really dependent when they are sick and hard to please. They want her to always be there in time of sadness, lonliness, and times when they are most vulnerable. They want to be her knight in shining armor and like to be protective of her and look out for her. Most of all they want to hold her and love her and keep her forever. Every once in a while, you will hear a "thank you" or "I'm sorry".
