2 – 3(4 – 5y) = 3(y + 3) + 5

Distribute...
2 - 12 + 15y = 3y +9 + 5

Combine like terms...
-10 + 15y = 3y + 14

Move y to one side and constants to the other...
15 y - 3y = 14 +10
12 y = 24

Divide both side by 12 to solve for y...
y = 2, thus the answer is C!

Hope that helps! Good luck!
