the excess iron can be removed by a process call chelation. the chelative agents help to remove the iron and decrease the serum iron levels.your doctor will be able to help. don't try alternative therapies, as the complications are due to accumulation of iron in the body.

Standard medical treatment is phlebotomy (blood letting). This reduces the total amount of blood and therefore iron in your body.
