Ever see movies when robbers make people strip before they leave? Like in the movie Surrender where they left all the rich people naked, or Inside Man where they made the bank strip?
What purpose would this serve? A diversion of some kind?
Would you make the whole crowd strip down bare?

For the most part, I'd agree with the previous answers of those people just being sick, but it's also been shown that people are much less aware of their surroundings when they are naked. By making them strip during the heist, they may not be paying as much attention to you as you do whatever you're doing in there.
Inside Man didn't have the people strip. They made them put clothes on that matched the bank robbers. That way, they could cycle themselves into the crowd and nobody would know who was a robber and who was just an innocent bystander.

I'd rob the bank naked, it would make for a good story later!

i think they're just sick and twisted not really a diversion and probably if the rich people were the one being stripped it's because they have reallyl nice clothes...and i wouldn't do it...ew...some people should not be naked! it's like going to a nude beach where that really old naked fat guy is walking around...picture that...gross! so no i wouldn't do it...

I'm not a bank robbing expert, but it seems like a waste of precious time to me. I'd want to get out of there asap :)

dam right i'd make them strip. there's a lot less chance they gonna run out the bank after you to attract attention
