actually, before i login to internet i change the ip address to 192.168.1.2 from 192.168.1.1, then the system ask for a password..how they do that..?actually in my school computer laboratory..pls help me.

When you changed the IP address, you logged of the internet as far as the sever was concerned. Now you need to supply a password to get back on. The IP address is the ONLY THING that let's the servers know what computer it is communicating with.

for a router depends on the make if it a liksys the default pass is admin other wise just reset the box if ur doing this for class and not for being stupid and hacking
