I downloaded Apache HTTP Server and I installed.When i click start it is showing operation failed.I want to run php with the help of apache.Can you tell me how to run php in IE with the help of PHP.

We are going to need more than "operation failed" to give you an answer.
Do you mean the install failed or that you cn't start apache? Apache may already be running and you can't have more than one instance of it on your machine.
Check the little icons on the right bottom of your window and see if one of them is Apache.

Linux is determination for many apache installations. In all honesty, i've got labored with apache on the two dwelling house windows and linux, and actually have not considered as lots of a distinction as you will assume.

Look I'm going to give you this answer and you may not like it but it is the truth. If you really want to seriously run Apache and php. Install Linux on a machine. If you do a complete install then you will install both and all you will need to do is start Apache on Linux with this command.
/"path to the Apache daemon"/httpd -k start
and start writing your php and executing it.
Just a thought.
