Complete list of new nurses in today’s issue (Jan 16)

The Manila Bulletin is publishing today in a 32-page supplement starting on Page G-1 the complete list of those who passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last month.

The PRC said 19,712 out of 40,147 passed the examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

On the Board of Nursing which gave the examination are Carmencita M. Abaquin, chairwoman; and Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, and Marco Antonio C. Sto. Tomas, members.

The top successful examinees in the Nurse Licensure Examination are:

Jayben Perez Matamis, Unciano Colleges and Medical Center, Antipolo City, 88.60 percent; Dervid Santos Jungco, Our Lady of Fatima University - Valenzuela, and Joanna Pauline Henson Lao, Baguio Central University, 88.20; Ma. Sophia Francesca Dimacali Cruz, Our Lady of Fatima College, Quezon City, 87.80.

Ma. Lucia Gaitan Iglesias, University of San Agustin, Baby Nellie Macadangdang Olairez, Baguio Central University, and Grasheila Pia Cristi Silva, Brokenshire College, 87.40.

Jerico Albay Baylon, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Barry Hope Buaging Campaner, Pines City College (PCEC), Claire Baluyot Mata, Western Mindanao State University, and Meliza Alvarado Sotelo, St. Dominic Savio College, 87.20.

The schedule of registration of successful examinees in alphabetical order will be announced later.

The oathtaking ceremony of the examinees will be held before the Board of Nursing on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 8 a.m. for surnames starting with A-J; and 1 p.m. for surnames starting with K-Z, at the Cuneta Astrodome, Derham Park, Pasay City.

All must come in their white gala uniform, nurses cap, white duty shoes, without earrings, hair not touching the collar, and without corsage.

Tickets will be available starting Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the ground floor of the PRC main building, Sampaloc, Manila.
