What good thing has President Bush done? Did you vote for him and why would you continue to stand behind him if you did?

You obviously weren't around when Carter was President, 16% unemployment and 19% interest rates with inflation out of control. For all of his flaws Bush 43 has kept inflation below 3%, unemployment below 5% and a steady job market and steady economic growth. The stock market (NYSE) is approaching 13000 and everyone is talking about the continuing expansion of the American economy.

Don't care much for the war in Iraq. For the money and personnel we've wasted in Iraq we could have converted every car in the US to steam engines and figured out how to run them on dirt or some other equally preposterous idea.

Yes I voted for him, but it was another choice of the lesser of two evils. John Kerry would have been a disaster. He is an incompetent. I'd vote for Kennedy before I'd vote for Kerry. Heck, I'd vote for Boxer before I'd vote for Kerry and SHE'S and idiot. I'm not happy with everything Bush is doing (especially Iraq), but at least he's not a socialist elitist (like Kerry is).

There are more good than bad, but you're really not interested in the truth, only in the bashing.

Vetoed the government support embryonic stem cell research.

There is much reason to believe that there are better ways to cure the diseases that are more feasible and have likelier outcomes and doing stuff with embryos is weird and is related to further weirdness such as fetus parts harvesting and the selling thereof, which is done regularly, and that right now there is indeed human fetus in vaccinations.

There is nothing else good about him. No I didn't vote for him.

Yes I did vote for President bush. I stand behind him because i love my country and respect his office. I agree that he has made mistakes. However, my country is at war and needs my support. even if i am one man. I like to think how different things may be if we all supported our country and the war effort like we did in WWII.

as for what good things has President Bush done:

No terrorist attacks on us soil since 9/11.
Quick recovery of us economy after 9/11.
No child left behind act.
in response to the 2004 tsunami, United States aid package to $350 million, the second largest contribution. On February 9, as relief efforts continued to unfold, Bush asked Congress for a total of $950 million.

It is notable that these financial pledges do not include costs associated with use of U.S. military personnel in the relief effort. As of January 12, 15,000 troops had been committed, including 25 ships and nearly 100 aircraft. Duties included logistical support, delivery of emergency supplies, and search and rescue. $360 million in rpivat funds.
On October 11 Bush celebrated fiscal year 2006's budget deficit of $236 billion. Using his administration's estimate for fiscal year 2004 of a $521 billion estimate compared to the actual deficit of $412 billion, Bush said that he had delivered on his promise to cut the decifit in half by 2009 three years early.

Bush also continues to stress the priority of the Afghanistan War.

Toppled the taliban and saddam's regime in record time. Both less than a month. Gave us tax cuts which provided our booming economy. Unemployment at 4.5%. Taking the right action so we can still live our cushy lives here in the U.S. even after the largest attack on U.S. soil. We as Americans have had to sacfrifice next to nothing in our war on extremist islam. How bad would be be hounding FDR right now if you were in the U.S. in 1942? Remember when americans had to make REAL sacrifices?

He has told the truth, defended the nation, held true to his promises, and done the best he could with the mess he inherited. He has not scandalized the office of the President, he has not cheated on his wife, he has not incessantly schmoozed with Hollywood celebrities, he has not sold the nation out to China, he has not scuttled the Constitution in favor of the UN Charter.

He has sold out the nation to China (rather than raise taxes to pay for the deficit/war), and he has scuttled the Constitution to fight terrorism. He did OK right after Sept 11, the war in Afghanistan was justified to fight terrorists. I didn't vote for him.

Whatever Bush has done, all America did.

Bush is America to the rest of the world.

As far as the rest of the world is concerned, Bush and his Americans are motivated by hatred, fear, greed and plagued with incompetence........and darn proud of it, by golly!
