heyz,
i have the panasonic DVR-111D burner, it was working
good till i installed windows xp professional over vista beta 2,
the thing is the bios aint detecting my drive :(, i tried changing the
power cables..didnt work,set the drive to slave...didnt work, mix the slave with each diffrent pwoer cables...didnt work, however the drive still powers...like ejects when i press the eject button...
whats wrong?,help me

It's possible that the driver for the DVD drive has been corrupted. Go to the Device Manager in Hardware under My Computer, right click on the drive, and select "Uninstall". Then reboot, and Windows should find the drive as "New Hardware" and re-install the driver for it. That often does the trick. Good luck.

Sorry, didn't read the question after the first sentence. Work on your grammer. It should say, "Why is my DVD drive no longer working?" or "Why isn't my DVD drive not working anymore?" or "My DVD drive isn't working anymore, why is that?" There are many other ways, but it is extremely hard to answer a question when you can't understand it
