My sister and her friends invited me and my boyfriend of three years to a club in Houston on February 11. It is for Valentine's day, and her friend is performing. I want to look nice and get a new outfit for this. What shoud I go for... jeans and nice shirt, dress, capris? I am clueless... what should I wear. I am 5'10, red hair, athletic... brown eyes... maybe the description will help. Please.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps it's better to inquire what the dress code is for the club, find out what the weather will be like, (the Weather channel 5 to10 days prior to the event), and try to coordinate your look with that of your boyfriend. Since it's for the Valentine Day celebration, try soft colors that go with your skin tone, this will allow your boyfriend to coordinate his clothes with yours, but with deeper colors of your soft tones. I would say wear Capri's and either a tube top or halter. Or you could wear a cute strapless dress if the club is upscale. Wear strappy sandals. I don't being that you are really tall you need high heals, but if that is what you like than go for it. Hoop earrings would look cute too. PS, green goes well with red hair, like maybe greenish blue or turquoise.

If it were me, I would wear...
a pair of wickedly cut jeans, in a dark wash...a nice high platform heel, like those louboutin ones or a knock off...
with a green short dress worn as a top, this would be a stunning look...green would play up your hair but a nice cranberry coloured dress could totally be excellent
nice bronzy makeup...
maybe even forego the jeans, depending on how brave you feel

I think you should wear jeans with like a short cute dress on top with assesories and cute high heels to match. Its not to formal and not to laid back. Just find a color that matches your hair.
