When my husband bought my computer he also purchased SpySweeper for me, which also had Window Washer with it.
These are sold by Webroot Software, Inc at
www.webroot.com for about $30.00 and for $10.00 more you can add virus protection.
These can also be purchased at retail outlets such as Best Buy

i think ADWARE SE PERSONAL, spybot search are good one as they are free and effective....
SpywareDoctor is also effective and it is not free but really worth enough
