My 4 month old baby girl had diaherra for a few days. Now instead of it being runny liquid, it is like really loose kind of grainy poop and she goes as soon as she starts eating her bottle. Does that mean that her dihearra is clearing up and her formula is just pushing the poo out?

Also she is formula fed with soy formula if that helps any.

like us-food doesnt pass fully through baby's system until about 2 hours after eating.
a sign that it is going from runny to loose, is good-that means it is clearing up.

is she on any kind of meds? does she have a cold or anything?

There could be a few things wrong here. Is she fed solid foods yet? Because if she is diaherra is a side effect of food allergys. Also if you think it could be her formula I would inquire with her docter if there may be a possibility of her being lactose intalorent. Diaherra can be serious if it leads to dehydration so please have it looked at ASAP!!

It sounds like it's just the formula! Their poop goes through so many different stages the first few months. The whole pooping after she eats.....is just part of the experience....I think most babies do that!! I wouldn't worry

if diarrhea does not clear up in 48 hrs from the start of it, see the dr. Grainy poop can also be caused by salmonella poisoning , esp if accompanied by vomiting. see your DR

She could be teething. Poop often gets runny during teething.
