I need to lock my Internet Connection, I have tried the Windows XP tutorial, but won't work, it still says my connection is open. I need to lock it using WEP or WPA-PSK. Thanks.

Dont use WEP it is easiest to crack.
Use WPA and set it to reginerate about every 10-20 minutes.
Set your AP not to broadcast the SSID.
Set up a mac address accesslist on the AP.
Disable DHCPon the AP.
Put a good password on the AP.

this will notmakeyou totally invulnerable but the attackers will be more likely to go to an easier target.

Log in to your router's configuration page and it should be under security or something similar to security.
