I've seen a few Broadway plays and recently saw interviews with the cast of RENT. How on earth do the actors/singers stand the music after the hundredth performance?

We all have our own tricks. Basically you have to go into every performance fresh, and pretend its opening night all over again. Everyone brings something new every day to thier part which provides a new spice. Every audience is completely different from the one before and you NEVER know what to expect.

Those who make it big, and get to preform on Broadway, usually get there beceause they are talented, and because it is something that they have passion for. The tossup is, yes you have to preform the same thing every night, but at least your job is something that you love to do. Also, we approach it with the ideal that it is our job. If we don't do it, we dont get paid, thus we cant survive, especially in NYC.
