So many on this group with atrouchious spellings and they are not mistakes either. Don't mind mistakes, I make them lots of them times. My question is, what pleasure do you get out of it and if people can't make sense of the words, why bother writing at all?

a tro cious (pronounced atroshus)

No one gets pleasure out of misspelling words.
Correct spelling depends on knowing how to correctly pronounce a word, knowing the correct phonetic pronunciation of sounds, knowing which letters make those sounds, and knowing the many rules that apply to spelling.

According to lists of words that you can find online and in the dictionary, there are many commonly misspelled words.

Because there are so many commonly misspelled words, I don't think that anyone insists on bad spelling, I believe there are so many words to use and so many ways to use them that when you are writing or typing quickly, it is easy to make a mistake.

If you know that you make lots of mistakes sometimes, how can you be sure that the atrocious misspellings are not mistakes or typographical errors?

A correctly structured sentence is a pleasure to read.

Writing is an effective means of communication in business, finance, government and medicine, to name a few.

We bother writing in order to learn about and to communicate with other people. Writing is especially effective for education.

I have no idea why people make such atrocious misspellings when there is a spell check on here. I do hope no one tried to look up atrouchious though to see what you were talking about.

Laziness.

Really, it's amazing that some of these people can even find their way here, with the obviously poor education they've received.
