What lotion is best to smooth and improve the texture/tone of the face? Any recommendations?

(I started using Proactiv and it works great but it dries out my face. I've also found on my forehead little bumps.. I don't think that's a reaction to Proactiv because other areas are fine.. Anyhow, the little bumps aren't acne. Just.. the texture of my face.

Do you have those little bumps on other areas of your body like the back of your arms or thighs? If so, then it's probably keratosis pilaris (KP), a very common condition affecting about half the population. I have it myself. Your body produces extra keratin and it plugs up the hair follicles and looks like acne.

There isn't a cure for KP, but moisturizing the skin and using products with alpha and beta hydroxy acids in them helps. Also look for products containing natural moisturizers like urea rather than mineral oil. Cleanse the skin with products containing salicylic acid to help unblock the pores. Good luck!!

Here's another strange suggestion...Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder Gel. I'm not kidding! It works great as a make-up primer. It really gives my face a smooth texture and my make-up lasts much longer. I never thought I'd put something made by Monistat on my face.

I personally use Shishedo products for men it does a nice job they have a hydrating toner that is in a clear bottle that is a moisturizer. I also this stuff by covergirl that is in a white fat tube that is a tinted moisturizer it gives a little cover if you want to moisturize and cover any possible redness like pimples or whatever. I think it's called covergirl smoothies.
