My opinion is that what you really want to find is a friend - who you are attracted to. It's very important that your spouse be a good friend.

So - do things you love to do. Whatever it is. Music - volunteer work - art galleries - dancing - take classes, any type of classes that interest you. If you have a spiritual or religious affiliation - go to church. If you are interested in acting or building sets or running sound or lights - get involved in theatre. There are very few straight men at the theatre, but loads of straight women.

Let people know that you are available - but don't let yourself look desperate!

First you have to decide why you think you need a wife and then make a list of qualities a person would have to have to meet your needs.
