Does using your father's influence to get out of serving in Vietnam( I served), never serving and relying predominantly on products from a communist government with serious rights violations constitute patriotism?

No, but you my friend you are a patriot, Thank you for your service. You know I sick and tired of people telling me that if you speak out against the administration and tell them what you think of this war that your are degrading the troops. If a person on Sean Hannity's show (I hate FOX news & try not to watch it) says anything to criteak the war he says the we are anti-american and we are undermining the troops. I love American and I love the troops for fighting, but I do not have to support this
administration.

It can. Many politicians believe that the flag should not be worn as a decoration or an ornament. It should strictly be a symbol of ones nation. However, it does show pride and, for the most part, respect for your nation.

Wal-Mart is joined at the hip with Republicans.
Last year, their Republican congressman arranged to have your tax dollars build a new road into Wal-Mart hdqrs.

not only no, but hell no! first of all, you shouldn't be wrapping yourself up in the flag. it is a symbol of our country. check out this website. afterwards, re-read the American's Creed (the part where it says "I will respect its flag!").

no more than sitting in a garage makes you a car. now see you could have had a good question here but instead it was really just a ruse so you could take a pot shot at bush and those you don't like. ok, ok, we get it you don't like bush, etc.....now try and do something positive with your life.
