The Doctor said they are in some women...If they are not, can the treatment affect the baby?

My sister in law is at the Hospital, and she is being checked, but we are all scared, and the Doctor said that they were fairly common during pregnacy 'cause organs get compressed...

Pregnancy can increase the liklihood of that happening, but that doesn't make it common. If you have one, you need to get treatment.

lol.. no longer some thing sturdy comes from searching up ailments on-line. .i have been there too. it truly is not instantly ahead to get a blood clot. Its extra instantly ahead in being pregnant than once you're literally not pregnant yet its nonetheless no longer instantly ahead. I dont understand a unmarried man or woman whose had one even as pregnant. only make positive you bypass round and in no way only sit down on the settee all day, to save the blood transferring. also if yo word your leg feeling quite warm to the contact or having a pink streak it would want to properly be an illustration of a blood clot, they wont only attack you without word. And maximum drs pay interest on your lungs at teh workplace in any case so that they could listen if theres some thing on your lungs.

No, and this can be very serious to have an embolism. A clot can go to the heart. Smokers have a bigger chance of getting these also.

I was like Dianne, worked in the hospital as a tech for 9 years, and only saw one woman with a clot.

I've never heard of it--blood clots in the legs are 'common' but they can kill you and you are almost always put on bed rest and meds to try to thin the clot--if that doesnt work, then surgery--but it is VERY risky.

I've never heard anywhere of blood clots in the lungs--let alone during pregnancy.

I hope everything is ok!!

No ......not common. I worked in maternity for six years as a nurse and never saw anyone with a blood clot in the lung. It happens, but is not common.
