Is there a HotSync icon in the lower right hand corner of your display screen on the pc? This icon looks like a blue arrow rolling into a red arrow.

If it is there, click on it and verify that there is a checkmark to the left of the communication option you are using (ie: Local USB, Local Serial). If there is not, checkmark your choice. If there is, just click anywhere outside of the box and it will close without changing any settings.

You should go into your Device Manager to see if you computer "sees" the iQue. You should be aware, a Palm device WILL NOT show up in your list of devices UNLESS you are doing a HotSync. Make sure that your iQue setup cd rom is in your cd rom drive before you begin the below steps. When it spins up, press EXIT as you will not need any of the options offered. You just need the disk to be in the drive so that your pc can located the drivers easily.

To get to your Device Manager, right click on your MY COMPUTER icon. Go to PROPERTIES. Select the tab that says DEVICE MANAGER (if using Windows 98 or Windows ME) or HARDWARE (if using Windows 2002 or XP). Then press the button that says DEVICE MANAGER. This brings up your list of hardware devices in alphabetical order.

Attempt to do your HotSync operation with this window open. If your pc "sees" your iQue, it should appear as a Palm Device under the alphabetic listing P. If it appears with either a yellow "?" or "!" do the following depending on your Windows operating system:
If you have Windows 2000 or XP, right click on the device and select UPDATE DRIVERS from the options listed. Follow the installation wizard and direct it to look to your cd rom drive to find the drivers.
If you have Windows 98 or ME, click on the device 1 time to highlight the name and press the REMOVE button to uninstall the item. You can then press the REFRESH key to bring the FOUND NEW HARDWARE WIZARD up to attempt to install the proper drivers.

Call the phone number provided. I have been able to work around the sync issue by using the unlock codes everytime, manually.
